| Commissions Commissioned paintings are generally more personal than other paintings you purchased because they are of scenes or places you like; lodges, farms, or boats that you own, activities that you do or pets that are part of the family. I complete a number of commissions each year and work directly with the client to take photos and get research information. I normally make pencil sketches to work out the composition, shape and size and show them to the client. Sometime I make a small color sketch to test the colors and values for the final painting. I work in oil and watercolor. If you are interested in a commissioned painting please send me an email at buckworks1@bellsouth.net or give me a call at (706) 323-9781. A few of the commissioned pieces I have done are shown below. Click on thumbnail for larger image and more information. |
